## 📜 Prakrit Language (especially Ardhamāgadhī)
**Prakrit** refers to a group of Middle Indo-Aryan languages spoken in ancient India.
Jain scriptures (Āgams) were mainly composed in **Ardhamāgadhī Prakrit**, the language used during the time of **Mahavira**.
It was:
* Simple and close to the people’s spoken language
* Used to preserve Jain teachings

```
**Meaning:**
> I forgive all living beings.
