The auction by the 'Wright' auction house has sparked a controversy regarding the preservation of heritage items. Ajay Jagga of the Chandigarh Heritage Protection Cell has written to the Punjab CM and Assembly Speaker seeking an investigation into how these items were exported despite MHA restrictions.
