The Punjab government has decided to restart the Heritage Street project in Sri Anandpur Sahib with a new route and design. Following objections from the SGPC on the earlier plan, a joint committee has been formed to finalize the changes. The revised route will now pass through the inner roads of the holy city, connecting Kila Anandgarh Sahib, Takht Sri Kesgarh Sahib, and Gurdwara Sis Ganj Sahib, instead of the main highway.
