A tragic incident occurred in Jhanjhana village of Anandapur, Keonjhar district, where a two-year-old boy named Anil died after falling into a deep pit dug for water pipe repairs. The pit was allegedly left open by a mega drinking water project company for five years. The child fell into it while playing yesterday afternoon and his body was recovered in the evening. Interestingly, the child's father had also been seriously injured in the same pit a few months ago.
