Following orders from the Puri District Collector, an eviction drive against illegal fishing enclosures in Chilika Lake has begun under Krushnaprasad Tehsil. On the first day, authorities cleared illegal enclosures spanning 920 acres in the Kankadagada area. Nets, poles, and bamboo used for the enclosures were set on fire and destroyed.
