A violent clash broke out between two groups of transgenders during a mythological play at Ankorada village in Ganjam district. The dispute started over alleged objectionable performances on stage and escalated into a physical fight involving cycle chains and hockey sticks. Thousands of spectators fled in panic. Authorities, including the Tehsildar and IIC, intervened and stopped the performance due to lack of fire safety and the ongoing violence.
