The Odisha government, led by CM Mohan Charan Majhi, has decided to revive the defunct Sarala Weavers Cooperative Spinning Mill in Tirtol, Jagatsinghpur. Closed since 1999, the site will now house a modern textile and apparel industry cluster. IDCO has allocated 23 crore rupees to the handloom department to take over the land for the project. Industry Minister Sampada Chandra Swain highlighted that this move will boost local employment and regional economic growth.
