A 32-year-old man, Sushant Sahu, died under suspicious circumstances after being detained by Kabisuryanagar police in Ganjam district. His family alleges severe custodial torture, claiming that the police poured hot water and threw chili powder on him. He was detained on May 25th in connection with a stone-loading case and handed back to his family on May 31st in critical condition.
