Cultivation of spring groundnut is emerging as a successful alternative to maize in the Doaba region of Punjab. During a field seminar in Mothawal village, Rajya Sabha MP Sant Balbir Singh Seechewal highlighted that groundnut helps conserve groundwater and improve farmers' financial status. Farmers shared that it requires less water and fertilizer compared to maize. Progressive farmer Jarnail Singh's success has increased groundnut cultivation in the district to 72 acres. Experts noted a yield of 25-28 quintals per acre. https://www.rozanaspokesman.in/farming/progressive-farming/070626/spring-peanuts-in-doaba-news.html #Creator program
