Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi inaugurated a 650-bed building at PRM Medical College in Baripada, costing ₹258 crore. He announced that new medical colleges will be established in Dhenkanal, Jagatsinghpur, and Bhadrak. Additionally, three Ayurvedic medical colleges in Gajapati, Malkangiri, and Rayagada, and two Homoeopathic colleges in Nayagarh and Nuapada are planned.
