A 23-year-old youth from Kapurthala lost his life while saving two of his friends from drowning in a river in Kullu, Himachal Pradesh. The incident occurred when the group was bathing under a bridge and the water flow suddenly increased. Although he managed to pull both friends to safety, he was swept away by the strong currents. His body was later recovered by rescue teams and brought back to Kapurthala for cremation.
