Farmers in Nabarangpur district are increasingly preferring hybrid seeds over government-certified seeds due to higher yields and easier availability through private dealers. While government seeds yield 20 quintals per acre, hybrid varieties offer up to 35 quintals. Complex online registration and OTP processes for subsidies are also deterring farmers.
