In the Falta Assembly seat of West Bengal, BJP candidate Debangshu Panda is leading by a massive margin of 52,853 votes after 12 rounds of counting. Panda secured over 80,000 votes, while the CPM candidate remains in second place. Interestingly, TMC candidate Jahangir Khan, also known as 'Pushpa', has fallen significantly behind in this traditional TMC stronghold. Falta falls under Abhishek Banerjee's Diamond Harbour constituency.
