“The LORD is good to those who wait for Him, to the soul who seeks Him.” (Lamentations 3:25) God’s goodness is often experienced most deeply by those who patiently trust Him instead of rushing ahead in their own strength. Waiting on the Lord is not passive resignation but confident expectation that He will act at the right time. Those who continually seek Him discover His faithfulness, peace, and perfect timing. Simeon beautifully illustrates this truth. Led by the Holy Spirit, he waited faithfully for the promised Messiah and refused to lose hope despite the passing years. At the appointed time, God allowed him to hold the infant Jesus in his arms, fulfilling His promise and filling Simeon’s heart with joy (Luke 2:25–32).
