Anandpur police arrested two persons, Shritam Jena and Akshaya Das, for allegedly trafficking tribal youths and minors to Tamil Nadu by promising high salaries. The victims were subjected to physical and mental harassment and were paid very little compared to the promised amount. One tribal girl was also allegedly framed in an illegal cannabis case and is currently in jail. Following a complaint by the Bharat Human Rights Council, a special police team conducted raids and arrested the accused.
