A major fire broke out at the ICU of Prasad Hospital in Muzaffarpur, Bihar, on Thursday morning around 3:00 AM. Out of the 15 patients admitted in the ICU, three have died due to smoke inhalation and burn injuries, while 12 others were rescued and shifted to other hospitals. Six fire engines were deployed to extinguish the flames. Initial reports suggest a short circuit in a medical machine as the cause of the fire.
