On 15 May 2026, Jaipur Police launched bicycle patrolling in parts of the Pink City, especially in the North district and walled city areas, as part of a fuel conservation initiative following Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s public appeal to save fuel amid rising fuel prices. Jaipur North DCP Karan Sharma said that station house officers and police teams would now conduct regular evening patrols on bicycles to reduce fuel consumption and improve interaction with local residents. Reports also stated that IPS officer Vikas Kumar travelled nearly 8 km to his office on a bicycle to support the campaign, while Rajasthan authorities simultaneously promoted reduced government vehicle usage across the state. #RAJASTHAN
