Farmer leader Harinder Singh Lakhowal has criticized World Bank President Ajay Banga's statement regarding farmers' children leaving agriculture. Lakhowal argued that children of farmers are still working hard in extreme temperatures and the reason for any land sales is the debt burden caused by poor government policies. He pointed out the rising costs of cultivation versus low crop prices and demanded a complete debt waiver and MSP implementation based on the C2 + 50% formula to resolve the agrarian crisis.
