A long-pending paddy threshing floor construction project in Shirol, Kesinga block of Kalahandi district, has been completed after 3 years. Following news reports and farmers' grievances, the BDO intervened to complete the work within 7 days. The project, funded with 7.32 lakh rupees, was stalled due to contractor negligence.
