The Amarnath Yatra 2026 has officially commenced as J&K Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha flagged off the first batch of pilgrims from Jammu. The annual pilgrimage to the holy cave of Baba Barfani will last for 57 days this year. Extensive arrangements for security, health services, and drinking water have been made. Over 131 facilitation counters and on-spot registration centers have been set up in Jammu and Srinagar to assist devotees coming from across India.
