A POCSO court in Bhubaneswar has sentenced 24-year-old Santosh Khuntia to 30 years of rigorous imprisonment for raping a two-and-a-half-year-old girl in the Airfield police station area. The court also imposed a fine of ₹20,000 and directed the Khordha District Legal Services Authority to provide ₹5 lakh compensation to the victim's family. The incident occurred in June 2024 when the accused lured the child with chocolate.
