Due to severe Nor'wester (Kalbaishakhi) weather conditions in Bhubaneswar, the Chief Minister's helicopter made an emergency landing at the Samanga temporary bus stand in Puri. The CM was returning from Mayurbhanj along with Health Minister Mukesh Mahaling. Following the landing, they moved to the Puri Circuit House and planned to return to Bhubaneswar by car.
