Preparations are in full swing for the 48th Rath Yatra festival at the Jagannath Temple in Hauz Khas, New Delhi. Organized by Shri Nilachal Seva Sangha, the event is expected to draw 1.5 lakh devotees. The festivities begin with Debasnan Purnima on June 29, followed by Rath Yatra on July 16 and Bahuda Yatra on July 24. Delhi's Lieutenant Governor Taranjit Singh Sandhu will perform the Chhera Pahanra ritual as the chief guest. An 18-foot high chariot with 10 wheels is being constructed.
