Bhadrak Rural Police encountered a notorious criminal named Prafulla Mallick alias Papu in Nuasahi forest on Wednesday night. Papu was planning a crime with an associate when police reached the spot. He sustained a bullet injury to his right leg and has been shifted to Cuttack for treatment. While his associate escaped, police recovered a gun and ammunition.
