A tragic road accident occurred in Ganjam district's Purushottampur where a head-on collision between a bus and an auto-rickshaw claimed 6 lives and left 2 others critically injured. The victims, including two 10-year-old children, were traveling in the auto to Sinhasani Pitha for a feast when the accident happened near Ladkapalli. The injured have been shifted to Berhampur MKCG Medical College for treatment. Following the incident, the bus driver surrendered at the police station.
