A 13-year-old girl was rescued by locals from a field near Pidhapatna village in Delang, Puri district. The girl, who was a resident of a voluntary organization (NGO), alleged that she was subjected to physical and mental torture by a staff member named Rinku Sir. She showed injury marks on her body to the locals.
