The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has taken over the investigation into the mob violence incident in Kalyanisinghpur, Rayagada district. The case involves a brutal attack on two researchers from Delhi based on child-kidnapping rumors. The Ministry of Home Affairs directed the probe due to the severity of the incident.
