On 15 May 2026, a woman narrowly survived after risking her life to save her children while crossing railway tracks at Shahpur Patori railway station in Samastipur district, Bihar. According to reports, the woman was crossing near Platform No. 2 along with two children and two other women when a speeding goods train suddenly approached, leaving them trapped beside the platform. In a split second reaction, the mother pulled the children close, made everyone lie flat in the narrow gap between the platform and the tracks, and shielded the children with her own body as the train passed over them. Parts of the train reportedly grazed her body, causing minor injuries, but all five survived safely. #bihar
