The National Family Health Survey-6 (NFHS-6) report for 2023-24 reveals a significant rise in diabetes and obesity in India post-COVID-19. Diabetes prevalence among men aged 15+ has risen to 20.9% from 15.6%. Around 7.12 crore women are currently affected by diabetes. Obesity rates have also climbed, reaching 30.7% for women and 27.3% for men, with urban areas showing higher vulnerability.
