#News | India has launched the ambitious ₹33,660 crore Bharat Audyogik Vikas Yojana (BHAVYA Scheme) to develop 100 industrial parks across the country through a challenge-based partnership model with states. The full form of BHAVYA is Bharat Audyogik Vikas Yojana, which translates to India Industrial Development Scheme. The initiative aims to transform India into a globally competitive manufacturing and industrial powerhouse by creating world-class industrial ecosystems. Under the scheme, the Central Government will provide funding for common infrastructure, while state governments will support land allocation and local facilitation. In the first phase, applications for 50 industrial parks will be invited within the next four months, and the target is to make them operational within three years. These industrial parks will span across 100 to 1,000 acres and are planned as modern plug-and-play manufacturing hubs equipped with: • Multimodal logistics connectivity • Digital and smart infrastructure • Sustainable and green development measures • Worker housing and social amenities • Faster approvals through empowered SPVs • Integrated industrial ecosystem for MSMEs and large industries The scheme is expected to strengthen India’s manufacturing base, boost employment generation, improve exports, attract global investments, and support sectors linked to deep tech, startups, and advanced industrial production. Union Minister Piyush Goyal also highlighted India’s strong economic indicators, including record gross FDI inflows of nearly $95 billion in FY26, continued export momentum, and ongoing efforts to expand India’s manufacturing capabilities. He further confirmed upcoming trade and investment discussions with Canada and the United Kingdom focusing on FTAs, investments, and steel trade-related issues.
