A massive corruption scandal involving approximately 50 crore rupees has been unearthed in the Jeypore Postal Division, Odisha. Sub-postmasters allegedly hacked the department's software, changed mobile numbers, and bypassed KYC requirements to siphon money from over 5,000 beneficiary accounts across various central schemes since 2021. In one instance, a sub-postmaster in Nabarangpur district was found to have 90 accounts in his name.
