The Railway Ministry has approved a new tri-weekly express train between Puri and Koraput, providing the first direct rail link between Puri and South-Western Odisha. Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw stated that rail projects worth Rs 90,000 crore are ongoing in the state, including the Khurda Road-Balangir line set for completion by 2027.
