BJP has denied a Rajya Sabha ticket to former Prime Minister HD Deve Gowda, potentially ending his six-decade-long parliamentary career. For the first time, there will be no former Prime Minister in the Indian Parliament. BJP has nominated Professor M. Nagaraja from Hubli for the single seat it can win from Karnataka based on current assembly numbers. Deve Gowda's term ends on June 25th.
