There was once a time when a stranger entered my life, and slowly became one of the most precious friends I ever had. Day by day, our friendship grew stronger, our conversations became deeper, and we started sharing every little part of our lives with each other. No matter how ordinary the day was, we always found comfort in talking to one another.
But then, somewhere along the way, life changed. Distances appeared between us, and our paths quietly started moving in different directions. Even then, we never completely stopped talking, because somewhere inside, the bond still existed.
Then one day, cracks appeared in the friendship too. Maybe the conversations no longer felt the same for them, maybe silence became easier than staying. And that is what hurt the most. Not because they stopped talking, but because after losing a friend like them, making new friends never felt the same again.
Still, despite the pain, my heart holds no hatred for them — only prayers. I pray that Allah keeps them safe, fills their life with happiness, guides them toward peace, and blesses them with sincere people who truly value them.
Some people may leave our lives, but the memories they leave behind never really fade. And perhaps the saddest thing is not losing the person… but missing the comfort of who you were when they were still there.
