#પંજાબ refers to a geopolitical, cultural, and historical region spanning parts of modern-day eastern Pakistan and northwestern India. Historically, the broader Punjab region was known as the "Land of Five Rivers" (Jhelum, Chenab, Ravi, Sutlej, and Beas) and was the epicenter for the Indus Valley and later Vedic civilizations. Today, the region is split between the Pakistani province of Punjab and the Indian state of Punjab.
