SHAHABUDDIN of the Love Trap Gang was spreading caste hatred by posing as (Hindu boy) Sani Pratap Singh
Just as Jalaluddin of Balrampur alias Chhangur were running a conversion campaign under the guise of the Bhārat Pratīkārtha Sēvā Saṅgha, similarly in Bahraich, members of the Love Trap Gang were portraying themselves as Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) members using Hindu names
on internet platforms.
Police have arrested three youths on Thursday for beating up three others who opposed them for misleading Hindu girls with fake names. Among those arrested is Shahabuddin, who had created accounts on @Instagram and @Facebook under the name Thakur Sani Pratap Singh.
Allegations state they were using Hindu names to create IDs and spread caste hatred.
After the revelations of the Love Trap Gang's actions, the RSS and Hindu organisations reacted sharply. The district publicity chief of RSS, Vipin Kumar, has written to the Chief Minister, District Magistrate, and SP demanding strict action against the Love Trap Gang.
He reported that over 15 youths in the so-called Love Trap Gang had created fake IDs with Hindu names and were trying to incite caste animosity.
ASP (Rural) Durga Prasad Tiwari said cases of abduction and attempted murder were filed against SHAHABUDDIN, ANAS, and ZEESHAN, and all three were sent to jail. Based on evidence provided by the victims, further allegations are being investigated thoroughly.
Three youths victimised by the Love Trap Gang have provided the police and media with screenshots of the fake IDs.
Chandan alias Shivam Maurya and Mohit alias Vikas Maurya said that the gang members used Hindu names to lure Hindu girls into love traps, and when they opposed, they were beaten with sticks.
They were forced to drink urine, chant slogans like “Islam and Pakistan Zindabad” (Glory to Islam and Pakistan), and made to undress for a video recording.
According to the youths, an acquaintance of theirs had fallen into this gang's trap, and when they intervened, SHAHABUDDIN, ANAS, and ZEESHAN attacked them.
Hindu organisations are demanding an impartial investigation, including recovery of Shahabuddin's four-year-old Instagram data.
