Technology to Empower Persons with Disabilities A significant initiative has been launched in Srinagar to digitally empower persons with disabilities. Deputy Commissioner Srinagar, Akshay Labroo, inaugurated the Foundation Course in Computers and Employability at a programme organised by the Voluntary Medicare Society (VMS) in collaboration with Enable India and the University of Kashmir. On the occasion, AI Pro Smart Glasses and Smart Mobility Canes were distributed to visually impaired participants, and a Deafhood Training Programme was also launched. The initiative aims to provide digital education, employability skills, and essential training for independent living to visually impaired individuals and other persons with special needs.
