The Bund Finance Center in Shanghai transforms architecture into motion with its kinetic facade—675 precision-engineered bronze-toned tubes rotating along three circular tracks. Like a massive stage curtain, the layers glide past each other, dynamically shifting between transparency and enclosure.
Powered by electric motors, the facade evolves over hours—modulating light, airflow, privacy, and visibility. Inspired by traditional Chinese theatres, it acts as a living veil, revealing and concealing a balcony stage while maintaining a constant dialogue with the city skyline.
