On 24 May 2026, residents of Ward 75 in the Palda area of Indore, Madhya Pradesh, staged a protest and road blockade after facing water shortages and irregular tanker supply for several days to weeks during the peak summer heatwave.
During the demonstrations, Congress councillor Kunal Solanki was seen falling at the feet of an ACP rank police officer, pleading for urgent action and reportedly saying that people would die without water.
The protest took place near the Palda crossroads, where residents blocked roads to demand intervention from the Indore Municipal Corporation and district administration.
Local media confirmed growing public anger across several parts of Indore over disrupted water supply, delayed tanker deliveries and long waits for drinking water.
