East Zone are through to the Duleep Trophy 2026 final after defeating defending champions Central Zone by four wickets in the semi-final. Mohammed Shami and Mukesh Kumar led the bowling effort to dismiss Central Zone, while Vaibhav Sooryavanshi and captain Ishan Kishan played important roles in the successful chase.
Ishan Kishan’s unbeaten first-class captaincy run continues. He has now led in 15 matches, winning 8 and drawing 7, with zero defeats. The streak goes on as East Zone march into the final.
