A new proposal could allow charges on certain high-value UPI transactions. But before you panic, there’s an important catch 👇
💰 Reported charge: 0.3%–0.5%
🛍️ Potentially applies to: ₹2,000+ transactions at large merchants
💸 ₹10,000 UPI payment = potentially ₹30–₹50
The fee would reportedly be charged to merchants, meaning they could choose to absorb the cost instead of passing it on to customers.
