Rajouri: Historic Road Connects Border Villages
In a historic
development, the border block of Manjakote in Rajouri District, Jammu and
Kashmir, is finally receiving crucial road and bridge connectivity, marking the
first time since Independence. The PWD Department is fast-tracking the
blacktopping work on the 3 km road project, which connects Sadyal Bridge to the
Gambir Khankhari border, costing ₹3 crores 2 lakh. This vital infrastructure
was urgently needed, as residents previously faced extreme difficulties,
especially during cross-border shelling and in transporting the sick or
injured. Local residents are highly appreciative, anticipating increased
business activity and easier access to schools and hospitals, benefiting
several panchayats in the far-flung border areas. #📢24 नवंबर के अपडेट 🗞️
