(a) Justice Soumen Sen, currently serving as Chief Justice of the Meghalaya High Court, has been transferred and appointed as the Chief Justice of the Kerala High Court. (b) Justice Revati Prashant Mohite Dere, a judge of the Bombay High Court, has been appointed as the Chief Justice of the Meghalaya High Court. (c) Justice Sangam Kumar Sahoo, a sitting judge of the Orissa High Court, has been appointed as the Chief Justice of the Patna High Court. (d) The Centre has approved the appointment of Justice Mahesh Sharadchandra Sonak as the Chief Justice of the Jharkhand High Court. 2. The Telangana High Court has dismissed a writ appeal filed by the state government, upholding a lower court’s decision to quash the dismissal of a government employee. A division bench comprising Chief Justice Aparesh Kumar Singh and Justice G M Mohiuddin ruled that the government’s move to enhance a previously accepted penalty was legally unsustainable. 3.
