Telangana government has indeed introduced a significant new rule regarding Transferable Development Rights (TDR)
📌New G.O.Ms.No .16, issued by (MA&UD) Department, the use of TDR is now mandatory for all high-rise buildings exceeding 10 floors.
*The Rule* : Builders must use TDR for 10% of the built-up area that is constructed above the 10th floor.
*Objective* : This move is designed to create a "forced demand" in the TDR market, ensuring that the TDR certificates issued to landowners (especially those losing land to lake or NALA restoration) have a consistent market value.
*Enhanced Compensation* : It outlines the new 200% to 400% TDR slabs for land surrendered in FTL, Buffer zones, and for nala widening.
