The most heart breaking part is the foundation the materials they used to build this mosque are the actual temple walls and Vigrahas. also you can still clearly see the ancient temple Gopura on the mosque itself. Back in 1390 CE, the Bahmani Sultans ruthlessly destroyed these amazing ancient temples and villages; they killed many and were incredibly cruel to the poor. Even today, most of the Muslims living here don’t go to this mosque. They don’t want to enter the temple complex, so they visit a newer mosque built nearby instead. This is the Jogulamba Devi Temple complex, situated in Alampur, Telangana. I don’t know why the government isn’t trying to redevelop the temple and remove the graveyard from the complex.
