The Law: Every Action Has a Reaction* *Bhagavad Gita 5.14-15* *Sanskrit:* `న కర్తృత్వం న కర్మాణి లోకస్య సృజతి ప్రభుః` `na kartṛtvaṁ na karmāṇi lokasya sṛjati prabhuḥ` *English Translation:* *"The Supreme Lord does not create doership or actions for people, nor does He create the results of actions. All this is enacted by the modes of material nature."* *Meaning:* Nature = Time. Time returns to you what you did. That’s the "punishment" or "reward". ### *2. 3 Types of Action = 3 Types of Results* *Bhagavad Gita 18.23-25* #### *A. Sattvic Action - Good result* *Gita 18.23* *English:* _"That action which is regulated, free from attachment, and without desire for reward is in goodness."_ *Result:* Peace, happiness #### *B. Rajasic Action - Painful result* *Gita 18.24* *English:* _"But action performed with great effort, with desire for fruits, and with selfishness causes distress."_ *Result:* Stress, anxiety, loss #### *C. Tamasic Action - "Punishment" result* *Gita 18.25* *Sanskrit:* `అనుబంధం క్షయం హింసాం అనపేక్ష్య చ పౌరుషమ్` `anubandhaṁ kṣayaṁ hiṁsām anapekṣya ca pauruṣam` *English Translation:* *"That action which is done in illusion, without regard to consequences, which causes loss and injury to others, is action in the mode of ignorance."* *Result:* Suffering, bondage, repeated problems. This is what people call "punishment". ### *3. Time Itself is God’s Punishment/Justice* *Bhagavad Gita 10.30* *Sanskrit:* `కాలః కలయతామహమ్` `kālaḥ kalayatām aham` *English Translation:* *"Among calculators I am Time."* *Meaning:* Krishna says *"I AM TIME"*. Time punishes no one. Time just shows the result of what we planted. Good or bad. ### *4. The Way Out of "Punishment"* *Bhagavad Gita 18.66* *Sanskrit:* `సర్వధర్మాన్ పరిత్యజ్య మామేకం శరణం వ్రజ` `sarva-dharmān parityajya mām ekaṁ śaraṇaṁ vraja` *English Translation:* *"Abandon all varieties of duties and just surrender unto Me. I shall deliver you from all sinful reactions. Do not fear."* *Meaning:* Even if you did bad karma, Krishna gives freedom if you surrender, repent, and correct. --- ### *Simple Gita Caption for you:* *"There is no punishment in Gita.
