“The generous soul will be made rich, and he who waters will also be watered himself.” (Proverbs 11:25)
God’s economy is different from the world’s. The world says, “Keep what you have,” but God teaches us that generosity creates a channel through which His blessings can flow. When we refresh others, God promises to refresh us.
Abraham generously welcomed strangers into his home and shared what he had. His hospitality became an opportunity to receive God’s promise and blessing (Genesis 18:1–14).
The widow of Zarephath gave Elijah her last portion of flour and oil during a famine. Because she trusted God and gave sacrificially, her flour and oil did not run out throughout the famine (1 Kings 17:8–16).
Never underestimate what God can do through your generosity. When you bless others, the word of God says that God will also bless you.
