Here’s a simple Suji (Rava) Gulab Jamun Recipe. 🍮 Suji (Rava) Gulab Jamun Recipe 🕒 Prep Time: 10 minutes 🕒 Cook Time: 25 minutes 🍴 Servings: 12–15 jamuns Ingredients For Jamuns: 1 cup suji (semolina/rava) 2 tbsp maida (all-purpose flour) 2 tbsp milk powder (optional, for richness) 2 tbsp ghee 1½ cup milk (warm, as needed to make dough) ½ tsp baking powder Oil or ghee for deep frying For Sugar Syrup: 2 cups sugar 2 cups water 4–5 cardamom pods Few strands saffron (optional) ½ tsp rose water or kewra water Instructions 🔸 Make Sugar Syrup 1. In a pan, add sugar and water. 2. Heat until sugar dissolves completely. 3. Add cardamom, saffron, and rose water. 4. Simmer for 5–6 minutes until slightly sticky (not too thick). Keep warm. 🔸 Prepare Dough 1. In another pan, heat ghee. Add suji and roast for 2–3 minutes on low flame until aromatic. 2. Slowly add warm milk while stirring to avoid lumps. Cook until soft dough forms. 3. Let it cool slightly. 4. Add maida, milk powder, and baking powder, knead gently into a smooth, soft dough. 5. Cover and rest for 10 minutes. 🔸 Shape & Fry Jamuns 1. Grease your hands with ghee and shape small, smooth balls (without cracks). 2. Heat oil or ghee on low-medium flame. 3. Fry the balls slowly until they turn golden brown (keep stirring gently for even color). 🔸 Soak in Syrup 1. Remove fried jamuns and drop them into warm sugar syrup. 2. Let them soak for 2–3 hours before serving for best taste.
