Champu Kavya means-A champu kavya uses both gadya (prose) and padya (poetry) to tell a story. Pampa was a 10th-century Kannada-language Jain poet known as Ādikavi (the "first poet"). He was a court poet for the Vemulavada Chalukya king Arikesari II and is famous for his epic works, Vikramārjuna Vijaya (also known as Pampa-Bhārata) and Ādi Purāṇa, both of which served as a template for future Kannada literature.
