The Union Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas has lifted emergency restrictions on natural gas supply following improved LNG transit through the Strait of Hormuz after the US-Iran ceasefire. The government had implemented the Natural Gas Directive 2026 in March to prioritize domestic LPG and CNG supplies due to Middle East tensions, which had limited supply to fertilizer plants and other industries.
